Lok Sabha passes Women’s Reservation Bill, 2023, Legal News, ET LegalWorld | Court Practice News


On Wednesday lower house of parliament on Wednesday approved a bill to reserve 33% of seats in the lower house and state assemblies for women.

Earlier on Monday, he bill to reserve one-third of parliament seats for women. The bill will provide reservations to women in Parliament and state assemblies.

The bill would now have to be approved by the parliament’s upper house and at least half of India’s state assemblies before being promulgated as law.
