Calcutta High Court Grants Interim Protection to BJP Politician Hiran in Voice Clip Tampering Case

 The Calcutta High Court has granted interim protection from arrest to Hiranmay Chattopadhyay (Hiran), a BJP politician and actor, in connection with accusations of tampering with a voice clip of TMC candidate Deepak Adhikari (Dev) during the Lok Sabha elections in Ghatal constituency. Justice Amrita Sinha instructed the Kolkata police to continue their investigation without arresting Hiran until further orders. Hiran's defense cited pending forensic analysis of the clip and requested protection from arrest, which the court approved despite opposition from the state counsel.
